Post subject: How Does Roy Feel? Reply with quote

With so much happening this week, what with work on next seasons car been started and testing for the race at Upperwirth, Extreme Racing must have had very little time on there hands but some how Roy managed to fit us in to his busy schedule although it was only a short interview at least he had the time for us which is one thing we are really greatfull for.

Roy One Of Your Rivals Thinks It Will Be A Close Race Between Them Selves And Your Team, How Do You See It Playing Out
Evans Racing as i have said many times are an up and coming team who have been getting better every season, in winter testing they seemed to be off the pace but we didn't know what parts they was testing so we didn't read to much there lap times, then at the first race they was still off the pace but closer to us than they was in pre season testing.

We expected them to start closing the gap to us and so far they seem to have been pushing the developement on this seasons car very hard, and its paying off just hope they are working on a budget as it would be a shame to see them drop back due to lack of funds next season.

Talking About Developement Have You Started Work On Next Seasons Car?
Yes we have and its coming a long very well, we are very happy with its progress and hope come pre season testing next year we will have made huge improvements and closed the gap down to Summer Spins and maybe Evans Racing will have kept up or even made better improvements than us, but thats a long way off for now, we are focused on next seasons car but at this present moment in time we are more focused on this race and thinking of the best way to score maximum points for us, which we have already agreed would be 5th and 6th places.

Are You Willing To Tell Us A Little About Your Strategy?
Now come on that would be like giving a poor person a lump of gold, in this bussiness information is important and any leaks would be like they were the poor person/people been given that lump of gold, we will say this though.

Evans Racing will be close but who will be leading the fight is anyones guess, i think Evans Racing will have some advantages over us in this race because the weight per litre of fuel is greater for us which is why we will seem slower but as the fuel is burned off we should see close battles all through the field not just between Evans Racing and Extreme Racing.

I Guess Its Times Like This You Wish You Had Signed A Contract With A Fuel Supplier?
To be honest if we had we wouldn't be much faster because of our tyres and breaks let alone engines, its just one of those things. If the fuel per lap is high then we will alway's struggle to fight for 5th and 6th places, never the less we will try our best and hope at the end we are at least in the points.

Do You Have Any Plans For Next Seasons?
Kind of, which is to make sure we have enough money saved up to at least buy some decant contracts with the supplier's even if they are not big improvements on our own brands, at least its something.

That Sounds Like A Manager Wishing He Could Change The Past?
No not really, i would say thats a manger thinking what is the best step for next season and to be honest we expecet many team's to be closer to each other than they are at the moment, and to make sure we don't full back we need to at least make sure we have some good contracts behind us otherwise we could be fighting for scraps or even worse praying for retirements and we don't want that.

Going Back To Your Rivalry, Do You Think It Will Be The Pit Stops That Will Decide The Final Finishing Places For You Guy's?
It could well be the pit stops but we would like to think that our driver's will be able to keep things under control, we only hope that if it is that close between us then it will be a clean fight, we don't expect Evans Racing to do anything to take or try and take us out of the race but little things like a driver breaking a little too late could well be a fatal error that ends a driver or some driver's hopes of finishing the race.

Evans Racing Sound Like Thay Are Running A Two Stop Race Strategy, Are You Also Doing The Same?[b]
Come on surely i answered that question earlier when i basically said its best to keep as much information under rapes as you can, i'm not about to tell anyone what our strategy is right now but if you like i will happily explain the strategy to you after the race has finished.

[b]Who Do You See Winning This Race?

Well i think Blue Master will be the team to beat as they have been all season so far, i think perhaps Summer Spins will be a little closer to them but not close enough to scare them into any kind of mistake, however i expact Mart to run away with the lead like he does all the time, Summer Spins we believe are on a 2 stop strategy but could so easily change that to a 3 stop strategy if they feel it will help them keep pace with them.

Roy then said he had to go because he has a lot to do today and got up and left, Roy didn't really want to give to much away and was trying to dodge all questions today which made us think Evans Racing are much closer then he would like to admite to.

Roy will no doubt try to make his driver's finish ahead of Evans Racing but i personally think that Evans Racing have a better chance this weekend, in less it continues to rain although even with a damp track both team's seem very close, much closer than in previous races.
