Post subject: Tyre Wear Reply with quote

How can you work out how long your tyres will last for, well a good way is to send your test driver out for as many laps as a full fuel tank will take him/her. Now the tyres will wear down as the driver does his/her laps, as soon as they tyres ratings drops to bad or very bad then you can write the amount of laps completed down, if you let the tyre wear get any worse you could risk a puncture which will put you out of the race, and you don't want that.

Depending on what contracts you have signed with tyres, breaks, engine and fuel dealers then you will be able to go further into a race before needing to pit for a new set of tyres and more fuel.
