Starting OutWhen you first join Pitwall you will notice your team has no staff or driver's, in fact your team is just a car with a manager, you need to higher soe driver's and staff members, you also need to set the amount of focu each role has assigned to them. This cam range up from 0% to 100% but you only have 100% to shre between the three roles.
Designers
Mechanics
Commercial
The more of the avilable % you allicate to each of the roles the better they will perfome, o for example alliacting more focus to designer's will mean your staff do more work per day on the parts you have decided to upgrade, while the more focus ou set on commercial the more money you will make per night.
You need to thinkhow to distribute the 100% between all three roles without loosing too mch , a good way is to do the following.
Designer's, 20 to 30%
Mechanics, 5 to 10%
Commercial, 75 to 60%
When you are happy with that its time to hire a few people to help your main staff, you will need to hire some designer's, mehanics and commercial staff, we will start with designer's and work our way down to the commercial staff.
But before we do this i will explain the difference between the hea designer, head mechanic and head commercial manager's, these are like the main people in there area's so like your the manager of the team they are the manager's of there rolesand keep there staff members doing what they are ment to do.
Ok so now back to hiring your designer's, it will cost you 2,500 per designer to hire and double that to fire them so its expensive and you can't afford to make any mistakes by hiring too many of them.
So hire as much as 200, this will help you develope your parts quicker making your car better and faster, and oe day win a championship. Now ets hire some mechanics, this is done in the same way but you only need to hire a maximum of 40, you can alway's hire more if you feel the need to at a later date, but for now 40 should be enough for what you need for now.
Finaly you need to hire some commercial staff again this is the same as the other's but you will hire the maximum amount of 100, they will pay for them selves in the long run and will help you bring in more money to help you get on the road of success.
Now you need to hire your main staff manager's this can be interesting and so many people go for the cheapest thinking its the best thing to do, but in actual fact its not alway's the best rote to take. So go to the staff market and lets look for agood designer, and then a mechani and finally a commercial manager, try to find a good but cheap ones, i would say 300,000 per week is as much as you should go up to, but try to keep it under this if you can, once you have found one sign them for 26 weeks each, do not hire a scout or a couch as you do not need either of them and would hold you back from becoming a good team.
Time for driver's, you can hire as many as 1 driver or 3 driver's, its up to you. I would personally sign 3 driver's one for each role ie, driver 1, driver 2 and test driver. Like the main staff manager's try to get some good driver's and try to get them as young as you can as they wll improve with time while the older they are the more likely they ar to drop in abilities.
Once you have signe your driver's go to your sponsors page and sign soe sponsors, you will have to try and ge the best deals you can but the btter your commercial manager is the better the offer's will be. Once thats done move on to te developement page and look for parts that have the lowest overal ratings, once you have found two parts check to see what there potential is of each part, if they are bellwo 3 then upgrade the parts using the revolution uipgrade s this will build the potential of the parts up.
If they have potentials of 3 or more than do evolutions on them, this will improve the ratings of those parts, don't try to do more than 2 parts at a time as each part you upgrade at the same time the longer they will take and developement can even sto completelly, leaving you with only one choice and thats to cancel some of te upgrades and loosing the money you spend on them.
You may have noticed at the bottom of this screen next seasons car, work on that can only start from week 5 of the season so inless your in week 5 or higher than you don't need to orry about this just yet. If however you are in week 5 or higher and haven't started work on next seasons car then click here
Now there's only one more thing to do and thas to go to the contracts page and sign soe contracts with the dealer's ie, engine, tyres, breaks and fuel. I would personally say stick with own brand which will cost you nothing as you will not have the money or the car to challange for the title this season, next season is up to you although i would say stick with own brand and try to win the championship with own brand contracts then if you do you know your team will more than likely be very competative in division 3 meaning you have a good chance of stayng up.
Division 3 is a hard division so by winning division 4 with own brand contracts will prove you have a good team, once your in division 3 then yes sign some good contracts as you might need them, but at least you can put up a good fight and perhaps even score some vital points that will help you fight for a place in the division for the following season.
With all that done, your team is up and running. Now sit back and wait for Wednesday so you can set up testing laps, don't try to do to many as the more you d the more wear your car has at th start of the race, meaning the greater the chance of retirement is.
Hope all this has helped you understand your tasks, please feel free to look at other threads for tips as there are a lot that will help you out, if how ever there isn't then feel free to start a thread with your question(s) and someone will get back to you asap.
